The MBA (Operations Management) program at SIOM is designed to meet the needs of diverse sectors of economy viz. manufacturing, service, IT and consulting. It provides students the skills and knowledge necessary to design, manage, analyze, and improve the operations systems in those business sectors. Eligibility -:
Engineering Graduates from recognized university with minimum 50% aggregate marks (all years put together) or equivalent grades. For SC/ST candidates minimum marks are 45%. STAGE I:
SNAP Written test - Interested candidates must appear for the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP test) on 20th December 2009. SNAP test registration is a must.

STAGE III:
Those short listed from Stage II will be issued Admission Offer letters as per the Merit List. The Merit list shall be declared to the students on the website on February 26, 2010.
STAGE IV:
Payment of Fees and confirmation of admission – Candidates on final Merit list must complete their admission by paying the first installment of fees latest by 10th March, 2010. Bangalore University has 363 seats for MSc in Biochemistry. As per the Karnataka Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes and other Backward Classes (recruitment etc. reservation) Rule, 1990, 50 per cent of the seats are to be reserved for general category, 15 per cent for SC, three per cent for ST, four per cent for Cat-I, 15 per cent to Cat-2A, four per cent to Cat-2b, four per cent to 3A and five per cent to 3B category.However, the RTI revealed that BU clearly violated this rule while distributing the seats.

The government of Karnataka has reserved 50 pc seats for Backward Classes, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes, 32 pc of which are reserved for the Backward Classes.

Before counselling, Maharani’s Science College for Women in its brochure, announced the intake of their MSc in Bio-chemistry is 30 seats. However, it was reduced to 15 with an explanation that the college does not have sufficient infrastructure.
